The axle is the shaft connecting the main reducer (differential) and the driving wheels. It is usually solid in design and its main function is to transmit power. It is a cylindrical part that bears the weight of the vehicle body. It is usually inserted into the wheel hub and connected to the frame (or load-bearing body) through the suspension. Wheels are installed at both ends of the axle to bear the load of the car and maintain the normal driving of the car on the road.
Depending on the different suspension structures, axles can be divided into integral and disconnected types. Integral axles are usually used for non-independent suspensions, while disconnected axles match independent suspensions. These designs enable axles to adapt to different vehicle structures and driving requirements.
