Heavy medium cyclone is an efficient device for coal washing which separates products of different densities like clean coal and gangue with magnetite and water suspension liquid as “medium”.

By difference of products, it can be divided into two product heavy medium cyclone (clean coal and gangue) and three product heavy medium cyclone (clean coal, middlings and gangue), while the latter can be further divided into with pressure and with non-pressure by difference of feeding.

Two cyclones in series-produces clean coal, middlings and gangue with single medium system by centrifugal force; it is widely applied in raw coal washing process, pre-desliming washing process and etc. It can be divided into with pressured feeding and with non-pressured feeding.
